Ram Products distributes a complete line of repair and maintenance products such as electrical terminals and connectors, fasteners, wire, cable, abrasives and chemicals directly from our specially-designed Ram Trucks. These “mobile warehouses” provide a unique approach to the sales, service and delivery of our products to our customers.

What it Takes to be a Successful Ram Sales Representative
Each of our sales reps have a unique personal story on how they came to Ram Products.While their backgrounds and experiences are very diverse, they all have a common desire to take care of people and to be well compensated for their efforts.
To say the number one characteristic of a Ram sales rep is that they have a heart for people and for service is an understatement. The world's top motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, has a saying that goes, “you can get everything out of life that you want, if you just help enough other people get what they want.” To us, that represents the heart of a servant who cares more about the needs of others than just what is in it for them. While none of us wants to work for free, we believe that with this attitude of service, our sales reps will be more successful in life and in their career and as a result, will be better compensated than anyone else in our industry.
Other important characteristics include relationship-building skills, disciplined work ethic, prospecting skills, customer service oriented, organizational skills and a motivation to sell. At the end of the day, each sales reps success is dependant on their desire to succeed and the effort they are willing to put forth to make it happen.

Sales Representative Training
Ram Products provides extensive sales training to both new and existing sales reps. Our goal is to enable and equip every sales rep to reaching their utmost potential in life and in their career. From our initial training program to our on-going field training, each sales rep is properly equipped to be successful. Below is a list of our on-going training programs.
- Personal, one-on-one product and sales training conducted by the Ram management team and ownership.
- Personal sales trainers riding in the territory with a new sales rep for the first 6 months.
- Six-month Training Review in the Corporate Office.
- On-going phone support from Ram management and ownership
- Semi-annual Sales Meetings with all Ram sales reps, management and ownership.
- Advanced Training Program for qualified performers.

Territories
Each of our sales representatives have protected territories that are theirs to manage, grow and develop as their own. Our philosophy will always be to provide each sales rep with a territory that will allow them unlimited growth. Without exception, our current territories provide more accounts and prospects than our sales reps will ever be able to call on. There is just that much business in any given territory. We simply will not over-populate an area with too many sales reps or limit their growth potential. While this might seem a little old fashion, we believe it's the right way to treat our sales reps and our customers.

Customer Base
Our sales representatives call on a wide variety of customers in many different industries. Trucking, transportation, plant maintenance, RV, marine; there are simply too many specific industries to list who use our products and would benefit from our unique “mobile warehouse” service. Because we train our sales reps to establish accounts in such a large number of diverse industries, we do not experience the dramatic business cycles that many businesses do, even during challenging economic times.
Our experienced sales management and ownership team will train and equip each sales rep with a basic understanding of a variety of industries and how to best service each one and their unique needs.

Financial Requirements
Because we are not a franchise company, there is not an initial investment required or any up-front fees in order to become a Ram sales representative. The only financial requirement is that a person be able to purchase an approved Ram truck. A new sales rep has the choice of purchasing an approved truck from a dealership of their choice or Ram Products will help coordinate the purchase of a truck through our dealership network. Any necessary truck financing is the responsibility of the sales rep and can be coordinated through the dealership or any other financial institution. Any truck or home office expenses are the responsibility of the sales rep.
There is no investment required by the sales rep with regard to product inventory or accounts receivable. The entire product inventory on a Ram truck is provided by Ram Products, therefore, once the products have been sold, the accounts receivable belong to Ram Products as well. Other operating tools needed to perform are provided by Ram Products, such as a laptop computer, business forms, invoices, business cards, company and product literature, all at no cost to the sales reps.

Compensation
Because our sales reps are full-time employees and not independent contractors, we provide a compensation program that rewards people for their efforts and allows for unlimited earnings potential as well as a comprehensive benefit package for them and their family. Based on our commission structure, we believe our sales reps have the potential to be the most highly compensated sales reps in our industry.
All sales representatives start with a training salary. After the initial training period, a transition to strait commission will take place. If a sales rep is not earning commissions at a desired level, a draw program is used to help in the transition from salary to commission.

Fuel Expense Reimbursement
While the daily expenses of operating a truck are the responsibility of the sales representative, Ram Products reimburses each sales representative with a fuel allowance each month to help offset the monthly gas expense.

Sales Meetings
We may be the only sales organization where our sales representatives actually look forward to our sales meetings. Twice a year, our sales team comes together for a time of training, education, encouragement and fellowship. Since many of our sales reps have been with us over 10 years, it's more like a family reunion than a sales meeting.
The summer sales meeting is a special treat for our sales team. We recognize the value and support a spouse is in the success of a sales representative. That's why we encourage our spouses to come to the summer meetings and be a part of the weekend meeting. It is a great time for our families to get acquainted and feel a part of the extended Ram Products Family. These meetings are held in incredible locations from Canada to Colorado. It's definitely one of the benefits of being a part of the Ram Sales Team.
